🚨DD Thread🚨
In this thread I will focusing on Nitric Oxide (NO) treatment and its potential to be an effective therapy for COVID-19 patients. pic.twitter.com/LpFCR7uSo7

A primary characteristic of NO is its ability to act as a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes the inner muscles of your blood vessels, causing the vessels to widen. For example, NO is currently used with success to dilate the pulmonary arteries in newborns with respiratory failure. pic.twitter.com/4BoJKDqBSn

The biggest question is can Nitric Oxide be used to treat COVID-19? I believe the answer is YES.
However, let me be clear, Nitric Oxide is NOT a vaccine. pic.twitter.com/WV2mNaaF89

In 2004, The American Society for Microbiology, concluded that the induction of NO to mammalian cells infected with SARS reduced the yield of SARS CoV by 82%. Put simply, The ASM claims that NO has an antiviral effect on the replication cycle of SARS CoV.

Nobel Prize winner Louis Ignarro, describes NO as having the direct ability 'fight coronavirus infection by blocking the replication of coronavirus in the lungs'.
IMPORTANTLY he also believes that inhaled NO therapy has potential to be effective at treating COVID-19 patients. pic.twitter.com/Rg6PYZCXhT

🚨 IF Nitric Oxide treatment is successful at mitigating the effects of SARS, it is VERY likely to work in a virus that shares 96.4% of its genetic makeup (COVID-19). 🚨 pic.twitter.com/8RZqpjPVzU

NO therapy can also be self-administered from a tankless device at home. This emphasises NO's utility as a cost effective option that not only excels in its ability to alleviate COVID-19 symptoms but its ability also relieve pressure on hospitals/ventilators. pic.twitter.com/p1SQaS857z

Since April, Mallinckrodt ($MNK) has been conducting trials with patients in Vancouver, using it's patented INOmax technology.
There is also Novan ($NOVN) who in March, announced their intention to explore the use of its NITRICIL technology as a treatment option for COVID-19. pic.twitter.com/NPTSMawjl4
